Comment #13 from the 1/24/14 ARB action letter stated, "Maintain all proposed grading outside the drip line of trees to remain ". Grading is still shown within the driplines of the 36" pecan tree in the parking lot and the 6" cherry located south of the main building. Please resolve the grading/dripline conflicts. 2. Comment #15 from the 1/24/14 ARB action letter stated, "Landscaping shall be sufficient to ensure that cars in the parking lot will not be visible from the EC ". Two red maples and one scarlet oak were added at the parking lot perimeter to the previously proposed one hackberry, one red maple and three highbush blueberry shrubs. The shade trees are not expected to screen the parked cars. It is recommended that tall evergreen screening shrubs be added along the parking lot perimeter. 3. Comment #16 from the 1/24/14 ARB action letter stated, "Provide a sample panel on site to show that the base color will not be too bright ". We are awaiting additional comment from the ARB regarding the timing of this requirement. Until alternate action is taken by the ARB, the panel is required prior to issuing a Certificate of Appropriateness. 4. Note 6 on the demo plan references tree protection fencing shown on "subsequent sheets ". Please identify which sheets show the tree protection fencing. 5. Resolve all tree and utility conflicts: a. A black gum tree is proposed directly over the sanitary pipe near the south end of Rolkin Road. b. One White Ash in the parking lot is located in the water easement. 6. There are several discrepancies on the landscape plan: a. Except for the Hophornbeam, the quantities for all of the understory trees in the plant list differ from the number drawn on the plan. In each case there are more drawn on the plan. Please correct the plant list. b. There are two tulip poplars drawn on the plan and one identified in the plant list. Please correct the plant list. c. The quantities for the redtwig dogwood, fothergilla, spicebush, and northern bayberry differ from the number drawn on the plan. Please correct. 7. Several of the call -outs on the landscape plan identify plant quantities different than the number of plants drawn. Please check the 4 FG and 10 FG labeled in Rolkin Road, the 6 IV east of the parking lot, and the 4 KL and the 4 VP at the upper end of the planting area. Please provide: 1. Two full sets of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated ARB revision dates on each drawing. 2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If changes other than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the memo also. Highlighting the changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will facilitate review and approval. 3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your revisions to ensure proper tracking and distribution. When staffs review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of Appropriateness may be issued.
