RE: ARB- 2014 -102: BP- Fasmart Signs, 241 Rolkin Road
Dear Ms. Akers,
I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the
proposal consistent with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
1. The $120 Architectural Review Board (ARB) application review fee has not been received. ARB
approval cannot be issued until that fee has been received. On the check provided, indicate that it
is for ARB201400100, BP- Fasmart Signs.
2. Regarding the proposed wall sign:
a. ARB Sign Guidelines state that wall signs shall be integrated with the architecture of the
building and not obscure architectural details. They also state that the size of a wall sign shall
be coordinated with the size of the architectural element on which it is placed. The proposed
sign appears to be oversized for the wall area, extending into the brick corner detailing to
each side. Revise the proposal by reducing the overall length of the sign so that a minimum of
6 inches of wall area shows between each end of the sign and the brick corner detailing.
b. Revise the sign drawing to indicate the Pantone color for the channel letter and graphic trim
caps and returns.
3. Regarding the refaced cabinet panel:
a. Revise the sign drawing to indicate the Pantone text and graphic colors.
b. Indicate if lighting is existing, internal to remain. If LED is proposed, add the following
note to the drawing: The level of illumination provided by the LED lights will not exceed
the illumination produced by a single stroke of 30 milliamp (ma) neon.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not
proceed with these revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period
associated with your original submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised
drawings to me. If you choose not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your
application. Failure to respond to this letter shall be presumed to be a request to proceed to action on the
application without further revisions.

receiving your revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
