Commissioner September 3, 2014 Mr. Christopher Perez Senior Planner County of Albemarle Department of community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 Re: SUB -2014 -00120 Briarwood Commercial Lots Final Subdivision Plat Dear Mr. Perez: We have reviewed the final subdivision plat for the Briarwood commercial lots dated July 14, 2014 with revisions dated August 12, 2014 as submitted by Lincoln Surveying and offer the following comments: 1. The proposed right -of -way on the north side of Briarwood Drive appears to "cut back" into the right -turn lane for Elm Tree Court. The right -of -way should extend through the private street easement for Elm Tree Court. 2. The drainage easement that extends from Briarwood Drive into BouIderview Road should be designated as a private drainage easement. This section of storm sewer will be privately owned and maintained. The drainage easement designations shown in a pdf received in an e-mail on August 27 appear to be acceptable; however, submittal of a hard copy of the revised plat for review is pending.
