RE: ARB- 2014 -116: Kingdom Hall Sign
Dear Mr. Miller,
I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the proposal
consistent with the Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
1. Albemarle County Architectural Review Board (ARB) Sign Guidelines indicate that logos and graphics
should be incorporated as an integral part of the overall sign. The graphic /logo ( "JW.org "), in the proposed
location on the monument post, does not have an integrated appearance with the two existing sign panels.
The sign post was not designed to act as a location for signs or sign graphics. As a result, the graphic in that
location has a disproportionate and awkward appearance, overcrowding the post. Redesigning the existing
sign panel(s) to include the proposed graphic or locating the graphic on the brick base (below the horizontal
brick header course) could have a more appropriate appearance. Locating the graphic on the brick base
would require a revision to the approved planting plan, as shrubs are to be planted in front of the sign.
2. Revise the sign drawing by labeling the proposed sign materials and provide a sample of the sign colors or
revise the drawing to indicate the Pantone color numbers for those colors (the blue background and text
color).
3. The required $120 Architectural Review Board (ARB) application review fee has not been received. ARB
approval cannot be issued until that fee has been received. On the check provided, indicate that it is for
ARB201400116, Kingdom Hall Sign.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not proceed with
these revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period associated with your

revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
