FEES Zoning Clearance = $50 Temporary Fundraising Activity = No fee Conditions of Approval FIREWORKS: 1. No person shall sell, offer for sale, store, display or discharge any fireworks in any filling station or on any premises where gasoline or other inflammable liquids are stored or dispensed. (Code 1967 10 -13.) County Code Section 6 -200 and 6 -300 and must be a minimum of 100 ft from any gas pumps /propane distribution tank. 2. The site shall be cleaned and restored to its original condition on or before July 11th. This shall include removal of all structures, signs, debris, and the like. 3. A thirty (30) foot front setback shall be maintained, Display shall be located so as to avoid traffic congestion. Modifications subject to Zoning Administrator's approval. 4. Building permits shall be obtained for all proposed structures and /or lighting. 5. Sign permits shall be obtained for all proposed signage. 6. The sale of fireworks requires a special permit fi•om Fire /Rescue department. CHRISTMAS TREES: 1. The outside storage of combustible material or flammable materials shall be located so as not to constitute a hazard and shall not be less than 15 feet from any building on the site. Any open burning must comply with the Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code and the Albemarle County Code. 2. USDA review is required (approx. 2 weeks but as long as 6 weeks) 3. If you are serving prepackaged baked goods but not making them on the Premises, only Health Department will review. (2 to 5 days) 4. If you will be operating any business that is in an industrially zoned district or of an industrial nature you will need to provide a Letter of Performance Standards or Certified Engineer's Report (a staff member will provide an information packet addressing this requirement) (5 to 10 days as soon as the Letter or Report is received by this Department) 5. If there has been no site inspection within the last three (3) months for the parcel /site, then one will be conducted to verify that the project is in compliance with an approved site plan (if applicable). Course The race begins at Charlottesville Catholic School parking lot (1205 Pen Park Rd). Runners proceed down the CCS driveway and immediately turn right and cut through the adjacent property to the golf course cart path. Runners follow the cart path until the 1 mile mark cutting across the grass to rejoin the cart path near the pond and continue on the path until it intersects with the Nature Trail. The run route continues on the Nature Trail, over the bridge, to where it connects with the fitness portion of the trail. Following the Fitness Trail runners finish the route by cutting up through the hedge row to the parking lot road of the golf course just past the tennis courts. The final stretch brings runners back to Pen Park Road, turning right and returning to CCS via the right -of -way to the school driveway. am I July 5, 2012 Charlottesville Catholic School Bringing Faith and Knowledge Together Sergeant Sean C. Hackney Albemarle County Police Department Traffic Division 1600 5'h Street Ext., Suite D Charlottesville, VA 22902 Dear Sergeant Hackney, Charlottesville Catholic School will be holding its l It" Annual 5K All Terrain Run on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. As part of the approval process to hold this run, the Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation requires that I receive correspondence from the Albemarle County Police Department and Virginia Department of Transportation authorizing the race routes and any instructions we will need to comply with. The letter should also state that an officer assigned to monitor this sector may come by to monitor the traffic and public safety. Charlottesville Catholic School will provide persons who are flag certified at points where the run intersects with Pen Park Road, Mr. John Winn at the Virginia Department of Transportation will also need to receive your approval before he can give his authorization for the use of Route 768 (Pen Park Road) for the 5K Run. I have sent a letter to Mr. Winn requesting this along with a crude map of the run course. The 2011 running route will be exactly the same as the previous 10 years, 2002 through 2011. As in past years, the proceeds from this run benefit Charlottesville Catholic School. The Charlottesville Department of Parks and Recreation requires me to have correspondence from VDOT documenting conditions for the use of a state road in conjunction with this event which I am requesting with this letter. Please send your response to this request to my attention at Charlottesville Catholic School, 1205 Pen Park Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or via e -mail to development @cvillecatholic.org. On this day I have also sent communication to Rebecca Ragsdale, Albemarle Zoning Board, Michelle Christian, Charlottesville Parks and Recreation and Sergeant Hackney of the Albemarle County Police requesting their approval to hold this run along this route.
