Peter:
Thanks for your email. I appreciate you taking the time to explain the process to me.
As we discussed over the phone earlier, it is very important that you do not dispose of any of the brewing
waste products into your septic system. You indicated that the waste would NOT be discarded down the sink
because it was essential for the next batch. You also indicated that you would be fairly small in scale with two
(2) brewings per week @ 20 gallons each. When I review the file, I note that you are inspected by VDACS and
that you have a recent water sample.
Based upon our conversation and the information at hand, I am comfortable with recommending the
approval of your proposed home occupation with the condition that you do not dispose of the brewing
waste, residue, etc into the septic system. If you increase your operation, you will need to consult with
VDACS and the Health Department in order to obtain the proper approvals. If you have any questions, please
let me know.
Have a good weekend,

The only brew kettle you'll ever need.
Northern Brewer's famous Megapots are a homebrewing
standard. These are high quality Stainless Steel kettles with
a thick three layer bottom - an aluminum layer is
sandwiched between two stainless steel layers for superior
heat dissipation. This protects against scorching and hot
J. spots when heating a mash or boiling wort. These Megapots
all come with either a Ball Valve or a Ball Valve and
\16 Brewmometer - both vital additions for any homebrewer.
Please allow 1-3 days extra transit time for Megapots with
Ball Valve/Brewmometer, as processing may take some
time.

appropriately. The ball valve and Brewmometer ship unassembled to prevent damage, and will require some
