I appreciate you taking the time to explain the process to me. As we discussed over the phone earlier, it is very important that you do not dispose of any of the brewing waste products into your septic system. You indicated that the waste would NOT be discarded down the sink because it was essential for the next batch. You also indicated that you would be fairly small in scale with two (2) brewings per week @ 20 gallons each. When I review the file, I note that you are inspected by VDACS and that you have a recent water sample. Based upon our conversation and the information at hand, I am comfortable with recommending the approval of your proposed home occupation with the condition that you do not dispose of the brewing waste, residue, etc into the septic system. If you increase your operation, you will need to consult with VDACS and the Health Department in order to obtain the proper approvals. If you have any questions, please let me know.
