The Albemarle County Planning Commission, at its meeting on August 21, 2012, by a vote of 7:0,
recommended approval of the above -noted zoning text amendment as submitted.
The Board of Supervisors is scheduled to review this Zoning Text Amendment at their September 12,
2012 meeting.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 18, ZONING, ARTICLE ll, BASIC REGULATIONS, OF THE
CODE OF THE COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE, VIRGINIA
BE IT ORDAINED By the Board of Supervisors of the County of Albemarle, Virginia, that Chapter 18,
Zoning, Article II, Basic Regulations, is hereby amended and reordained as follows:

The following regulations pertaining to the number of signs permitted per lot or establishment, the sign
area, sign height, and setback requirements shall apply to each sign for which a sign permit is required
within the Commercial (C -1), Commercial Office (CO) and Highway Commercial (HC) zoning districts:
