HomeMy WebLinkAboutARB199700026 Approval - County:1. m J J� t YIn ;1 �1' COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Dept. of Planning & Community Development 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, Virginia 229024596 (804) 2465823 November 18, 1997 Train & Spencer Architects c/o Thomas Keogh, Jr 107 Second Street, SE Charlottesville, VA 22901 RE: ARB -F (SDP) -97 -26 Wachovia Bank - Amendment Tax Map 76, Parcels 54P, 54, 54Z and 54N1 Dear Mr. Keogh: The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board, at its meeting on Monday, November 17, 1997, unanimously approved the above -noted amendment for additional parking spaces and associated plantings, increased lighting levels across the site, the addition of a pyracantha hedge, and new lights along the entry drive, as follows: The amendment calls for 82 additional parking spaces, distributed as follows: • 60 spaces have been added in the westernmost part of the parking lot, bringing this parking area very close to SR 631. Access to this area has been added from the entry drive, 22 new trees and 9 new lights have been added in this area, • 6 spaces have been added at the easterzunost end of the lot; 5 new trees and 2 new lights have been added in this area. • 14 spaces have been added just north of the western wing of the building; 2 new lights have been added in this area. • 3 spaces have been added at the southeastern corner of the site; 2 new trees have been added in this area. 14=W Page 2 November 18, 1997 2. The amendment to the plan calls for increased lighting levels across the site from .5 footcandles to 2 footcandles with spillover not exceeding .5 footcandles. In addition to the lights indicated in the previous section, 10 new lights have been added and distributed throughout the parking area. 3. Addition of a pyracantha hedge along the southern edge of the site. 4. The addition of 16 BEGA 9804MIi lights along the southern side of the entry drive.
