Per Section 5.1.56(B)(7) of the Zoning Ordinance, you are receiving this notification because you are the owner or agent of abutting property to the site under review, shown on the attached map. This request is for approval of a family day home to care for up to 12 children in the residence at 54 Woodlake Drive. The family day home may include day and evening hours and does not propose employees. No waiver of any zoning regulations is requested with this family day home. The County will not take action on this request until at least 30 (thirty) days after the date of this letter. Zoning staff will review this application to confirm it meets all of the Zoning Ordinance regulations of Section 5.1.56, which includes traffic limits, provision of adequate parking, adequate entrance /access to the family day home, review by the Building Official, Fire Marshal, and compliance with the licensing requirements of the Virginia Department of Social Services. If the application meets all applicable regulations, it will be approved by staff. Per Section 5.1.56(B)(7) of the Zoning Ordinance, if a written objection to the family day home is received from the owner of an abutting lot within thirty (3 0) days after the notice was mailed or delivered, the zoning clearance will not be approved until after the applicant obtains a special exception from the Board of Supervisors. If a written objection is made, it must state the specific reason for the objection and describe how the proposed family day home would cause substantial detriment to adjoining property. If the application will be heard by the Board of Supervisors, you will receive a second notice. All information related to this request is available for review in the Department of Community Development during normal business hours (8 a.m.- 5p.m., Mon -Fri).
