In response to an Application for Letter of Zoning Compliance, this office has
researched your request and offers the following conclusions regarding Parcels 49A,
49A1, 49A2, and 49A3 of Tax Map 99:
Parcel 49A is a 20.639 acre parcel containing a lumber production operation with
improvements that include an office, storage buildings, a boiler and kilns. It is zoned
Rural Areas (RA). The use is allowed by special use permit, SP -1982-009 and
subject to its conditions and the conditions of subsequent permits, SP -1990-061,
SP -1991-047 and SP -2001-034 and by the Supplemental Regulations for Sawmill,
Temporary or Permanent found in Section 5.1.15. Copies of the special permit
conditions and the supplemental regulations are enclosed.
Parcel 49A1 is a 2.0 acre parcel containing one single family dwelling. The property
is zoned Rural Areas (RA) and the use is allowed by right.
Parcel 49A2 is a 2.0 acre parcel containing one single family dwelling. The property
is zoned Rural Areas (RA) and the use is allowed by right.
Parcel 49A3 is a 2.309 parcel containing one single family dwelling. The property is
zoned Rural Areas (RA) and the use is allowed by right.
None of the above properties are located within any of the County's designated
Overlay Districts and are not part of a Planned Unit Development.

These properties are the subject of a plat prepared by Gloeckner & Osborne, Inc.
dated March 24, 1988 (SUB -1988-059).
A compliance inspection of the site was conducted on November 30, 2006. No
violations were identified.
