To the County Engineer:
We are representing The Sherwin - Williams Company Eastern Stores Division. Our
client wants to use the space in question for a floor covering warehouse and small
showroom for contractors. They will be storing rolls of carpet and other flooring related
products for distribution.
We have addressed the performance standards of Zoning Ordinance Section 18 -4.14:
Noise: Our client's operation will not create sound or impact noise levels in excess of
the values specified in Section 4.14.1. Their major sources of noise are: 1) music and
telephones. 2) truck deliveries of flooring materials.
Vibration: They will be operating an electric forklift and carpet cutter in the warehouse.
Equipment operated by shop does not produce any detectable earthborn vibration.
Glare: Their operation is completely contained within the building. The interior lighting
associated with this operation does not produce glare that is visible beyond the lot line.
Air Pollution: There will be no emission of smoke, odor or gaseous pollutants.
Water Pollution: No liquid wastes will be generated by this operation. Their operation
does not represent a hazard to water quality.
Radioactivity: Their operation does not require handling of radioactive materials. There
will be no radioactive emissions.
Electrical Interference: Their operation does not require any equipment that would
generate electrical disturbances.
