THE SUBCONTRACTOR OR BIDDER SHALL BEAR THE RESPONSIBILITY OF NOTIFYING (IN WRITING) THE SPRINT REPRESENTATIVE (ALCATEL /LUCENT) OF ANY CONFLICTS, ERRORS OR OMISSIONS PRIOR TO THE SUBMISSION OF SUBCONTRACTOR'S PROPOSAL OR PERFORMANCE OF WORK. IN THE EVENT OF DISCREPANCIES, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PRICE THE MORE COSTLY OR EXTENSIVE WORK, UNLESS DIRECTED IN WRITING OTHERWISE. 23, THE SCOPE OF WORK SHALL INCLUDE FURNISHING ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, LABOR AND ALL OTHER MATERIALS AND LABOR DEEMED NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE WORK /PROJECT AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. 24. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE JOB SITE PRIOR TO THE SUBMISSION OF BIDS OR PERFORMING WORK TO FAMILIARIZE HIMSELF WITH THE FIELD CONDITIONS AND TO VERIFY THAT THE PROJECT CAN BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. 25, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION PRIOR TO STARTING WORK ON ANY ITEM NOT CLEARLY DEFINED BY THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS /CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. 26. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL ALL EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER'S /VENDORS SPECIFICATIONS UNLESS OTHERWISE OR WHERE LOCAL CODES OR ORDINANCES TAKE PRECEDENCE. 27, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A FULL SET OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AT THE SITE UPDATED WITH THE LATEST REVISIONS AND ADDENDUMS OR CLARIFICATIONS AVAILABLE FOR THE USE BY ALL PERSONNEL INVOLVED WITH THE PROJECT. 11. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL LEGALLY AND PROPERLY DISPOSE OF ALL SCRAP MATERIALS SUCH AS COAXIAL 28, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL SUPERVISE AND DIRECT THE PROJECT DESCRIBED HEREIN. CABLES AND OTHER ITEMS REMOVED FROM THE EXISTING FACILITY. ANTENNAS REMOVED SHALL BE THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE CONSTRUCTION MEANS, RETURNED TO THE OWNER'S DESIGNATED LOCATION. METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES AND PROCEDURES AND FOR COORDINATING ALL PORTIONS OF THE WORK UNDER THE CONTRACT. 12. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL LEAVE PREMISES IN CLEAN CONDITION. 13. ALL CONCRETE REPAIR WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMERICAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE (ACI) 301. 14. ANY NEW CONCRETE NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL HAVE 4000 PSI STRENGTH AT 28 DAYS UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED. ALL CONCRETING WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACI 318 CODE REQUIREMENTS. 15. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AISC SPECIFICATIONS. 16. CONSTRUCTION SHALL COMPLY WITH SPECIFICATION 25741 - 000- 3APS -AOOZ- 00002, "GENERAL CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. 17. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL EXISTING DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCING ANY WORK. ALL DIMENSIONS OF EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS MUST BE VERIFIED. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE CONTRACTOR OF ANY DISCREPANCIES PRIOR TO ORDERING MATERIAL OR PROCEEDING WITH CONSTRUCTION. 18. THE EXISTING CELL SITE IS IN FULL COMMERCIAL OPERATION. ANY CONSTRUCTION WORK BY SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOT DISRUPT THE EXISTING NORMAL OPERATION. ANY WORK ON EXISTING EQUIPMENT MUST BE COORDINATED WITH CONTRACTOR. ALSO, WORK MAY NEED TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN APPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE WINDOW USUALLY IN LOW TRAFFIC PERIODS AFTER MIDNIGHT. 19. SINCE THE CELL SITE MAY BE ACTIVE, ALL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS MUST BE TAKEN WHEN WORKING AROUND HIGH LEVELS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION. EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANY WORK THAT COULD EXPOSE THE WORKERS TO DANGER. PERSONAL RE EXPOSURE MONITORS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN TO ALERT OF ANY DANGEROUS EXPOSURE LEVELS. GENERAL NOTES (7_� SCALE: N.T.S. N -1 29. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE WORK BY THE ARCHITECT /ENGINEER, THE STATE, COUNTY OR LOCAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY. 30. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL MAKE NECESSARY PROVISIONS TO PROTECT EXISTING IMPROVEMENTS, EASEMENTS, PAVEMENTS, CURBING, ETC, DURING CONSTRUCTION, UPON COMPLETION OF WORK, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL REPAIR ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ON OR ABOUT THE PROPERTY. 31. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL MAINTAIN THE GENERAL WORK AREA AS CLEAN AND HAZARD FREE DURING CONSTRUCTION AND DISPOSE OF ALL DIRT, DEBRIS, RUBBISH AND REMOVE EQUIPMENT NOT SPECIFIED AS REMAINING ON THE PROPERTY. PREMISES SHALL BE LEFT IN CLEAN CONDITION AND FREE FROM PAINT SPOTS, DUST, OR SMUDGES OF ANY NATURE. 32, THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL OSHA REQUIREMENTS AS THEY APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. 33. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE SPRINT REPRESENTATIVE (ALCATEL /LUCENT) WHERE A CONFLICT OCCURS ON ANY OF THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. THE SUBCONTRACTOR IS NOT TO ORDER MATERIAL OR CONSTRUCT ANY PORTION OF THE WORK THAT IS IN CONFLICT UNTIL CONFLICT IS RESOLVED BY THE SPRINT REPRESENTATIVE (ALCATEL /LUCENT). 34. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS, ELEVATIONS, PROPERTY LINES, ETC. ON THE JOB. GENERAL NOTES SCALE: N.T.S. N -1 NOTES : 1. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL SHALL BE DESIGNED, DETAILED, FABRICATED, AND ERECTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF °AISC "SPECIFICATIONS. 2. ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL FOR BEAMS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A -1192, FY =50 KSI. STEEL PIPES SHALL BE STANDARD SCHEDULE 40 AND SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A -501. STEEL TUBING SECTIONS SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A -500 GRADE B, FY -46 KSI. ALL OTHER STEEL SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM A -116, FY -36 KSI 3. ALL STEEL CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DESIGNED AND DETAILED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF AISC MANUAL OF PRACTICE FOR STEEL CONSTRUCTION. CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DESIGNED FOR AT LEAST 60% OF THE MAXIMUM LOAD CARRYING CAPACITY OF BEAMS, UNDER UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED LOADS, AND FOR THE SPANS INDICATED. CONNECTIONS SHALL BE MADE USING 3WDIAMETER HIGH STRENGTH BOLTS CONFORMING TO ASTM -325, EXCEPT AS NOTED ON DETAILS. SHOP CONNECTIONS MAY BE WELDED IN LIEU OF BOLTING. 4. ALL WELDING SHALL BE DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF "AWS °STANDARDS, USING E -70XX ELECTRODES. ALL WELDING SHALL BE DONE IN THE SHOP AND CONNECTION COMPONENTS SHALL BE PRE - ASSEMBLED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. 5. NO TORCH- CUTTING OF STEEL MEMBERS OR BURNING OF HOLES IN STEEL IS ALLOWED. ALL HOLES SHALL BE PRE - DRILLED IN SHOP TO 1/16 "LARGER IN DIAMETER THAN BOLTS, OR AS SPECIFIED. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL PRE - DRILLED HOLES LOCATIONS. GENERAL STEEL NOTES SCALE: N.T.S. N -1 NOTES: 1. ACTUAL LENGTHS SHALL BE DETERMINED PER SITE CONDITION BY SUBCONTRACTOR. 2. THE DESIGN IS BASED ON RE DATA SHEETS, SIGNED AND APPROVED. 3. RADIO SIGNAL CABLE AND RACEWAY SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (NEC, NFPA 70), CHAPTER 8. 4. ALL SPECIFIED MATERIAL FOR EACH LOCATION (E.G., OUTDOORS, INDOORS - OCCUPIED, INDOORS - UNOCCUPIED, PLENUMS, RISER SHAFTS, ETC.) SHALL BE APPROVED, LISTED, OR LABELED AS REQUIRED BY THE NEC. 5. FOLLOW THE TECHNICAL GUIDELINE FOR OUTSIDE ANTENNA JUMPER SUPPORT (25471- 3DJ -GEX- 00001). HARDLINE CABLE SHALL BE SUPPORTED AS REQUIRED BY THE MANUFACTURER BUT AT A MINIMUM OF EVERY THREE (3) FEET, EXCEPT INSIDE MONOPOLES OR LATTICE TOWERS WHERE CABLE AND CONNECTOR MANUFACTURERS' SUPPORT RECOMMENDATIONS SHALL BE FOLLOWED. MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDED CABLE SUPPORT ACCESSORIES SHALL BE USED, PLASTIC CABLE TIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. 6. THE OUTDOOR CABLE SUPPORT SYSTEM SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH AN ICE SHIELD TO SUPPORT AND PROTECT ANTENNA CABLE RUNS. 7. DRIP LOOPS SHALL BE REQUIRED ON ALL OUTSIDE CABLES. CABLES SHALL BE SLOPED AWAY FROM THE BUILDING OR OUTDOOR BTS CABINETS TO PREVENT WATER FROM ENTERING THROUGH THE COAXIAL CABLE PORT. 8. ALL FEEDER LINE AND JUMPER CONNECTORS SHALL BE 7/16 DIN CABLE CONNECTORS THAT MEET IP68 STANDARDS. 9. 7/16 DIN CONNECTORS REQUIRE NO WEATHER PROOFING IN INDOOR APPLICATIONS. IN OUTDOOR APPLICATIONS WEATHER PROOFING IS REQUIRED AND THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE SHOULD BE FOLLOWED: APPLY A "COURTESY" WRAP OF ONE LAYER OF 7MIL THICK VINYL ELECTRICAL TAPE EXTENDING APPROXIMATELY ONE (1) INCH ON EACH SIDE OF THE COAX CABLE/ CONNECTOR JUNCTURE USING WEATHERPROOFING KIT APPROVED BY CABLE MANUFACTURE AND CONTRACTOR. START TAPE APPROXIMATELY 5 INCHES FROM THE CONNECTOR AND WRAP 2 INCHES TOWARD THE CONNECTOR, THEN REVERSE THE TAPE SO THAT THE STICKY SIDE IS UP. TAPE OVER THE CONNECTOR OR SURGE ARRESTOR UNTIL THREE (3) TO FOUR (4) INCHES BEYOND THE CONNECTOR AND REVERSE AGAIN WITH THE STICKY SIDE DOWN FOR ANOTHER INCH OR TWO. ADD THE BUTYL RUBBER AND FINISH WITH A FINAL LAYER OF TAPE. COLD SHRINK IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. 10. EXISTING SELF SUPPORT TOWER IS GREY MATT GALVANIZED STEEL AND IS NOT PAINTED. EXISTING ANTENNAS ON THE TOWER ARE NOT PAINTED. PROPOSED ANTENNAS WILL HAVE LIGHT GREY PLASTIC SHROUDS (SIMILAR TO EXISTING ANTENNAS). EXISTING GREY MATTE GALVANIZED STEEL MOUNTS TO REMAIN ON THE TOWER. 11.
