RE: SP-2002-038 Lone Oak, LLC; Tax Map 134, Parcel 3
Dear Mr. Reback:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors, at its meeting on January 8, 2003, by a vote of 6:0, approved the
above-noted request. Please note that this approval is subject to the following conditions:
1. The location of the helistop shall be located as shown on Attachment A, titled SP 02-38 Lone Oak
L.L.C. Helistop and dated September 2002;
2. The maximum number of landings per calendar year shall be six (6);
3. No helicopter maintenance, other than emergency maintenance, shall be allowed to occur on the
property;
4. Other than a windsock on a maximum twelve (12)-foot high pole, no improvements or
construction will be permitted;
5. No other airbome vehicle, other than helicopters, shall be permitted to use this facility;
6. No lighting for the helicopter landing site will be permitted;
7. Section 5.1.01.c1 shall apply and any other sections of the ordinance that relate to heliports as well;
8. There shall be no southem approach on landing; and
9. There shall be no subdivision of the property as long as the special use permit is in effect.
In the event that the use, structure or activity for which this special use permit is issued shall not be commenced
within twenty-four (24) months after the issuance of such permit, the same shall be deemed abandoned and the
authority granted thereunder shall thereupon terminate. For purposes of this section, the term "commenced" shall be
construed to include the commencement of construction of any structure necessary to the use of such permit within
two (2) years from the date of the issuance.
Before beginning this use, you must obtain a zoning clearance from the Zoning Department. Before the Zoning
Department will issue a clearance, you must comply with the conditions in this letter. For further information, please
