At my suggestion, you had previously requested a definite deferral until November 1. At this point, I would suggest that you reply to this email with a request for an indefinite deferral (no date). From what I can tell, Chick -fil -A has not resubmitted to the ARB and has not meet County Engineering requirements for the site plan. Brent Brent W. ARB approval is required prior to SDP approval. Margaret Maliszewski (ARB) is not here today but will return on Monday. From looking at our County View tracking system, it looks like the applicant still has not submitted revised drawings addressing ARB comments from the April 7`h review. Megan Yaniglos (myanigloskalbemarle.org 434 - 296 -5832 x 3004) is the lead planner coordinating the review of the SDP. From looking at County View, it looks like our engineer has issues that need to be addressed for the SDP. You should contact Megan directly if you have any additional questions regarding the SDP. The following issues remain. • The sign proposal cannot be approved until ARB approval (ARB201400021) of the building and site has been issued. ARB revisions have not been received for staff to review. • The sign proposal cannot be approved until the Final Site Plan (SDP201400053) has been approved. A Final Site Plan has been received and is under review. • The sign proposal cannot be approved until Stewart Wright, Zoning Permit Planner, has reviewed and approved the sign permit drawings. Revise the drawing to include the following note regarding the internal illumination of the freestanding cabinet sign: "The cabinet background shall be opaque when illuminated; only the text & graphic shall illuminate." The following issues have been identified. Currently there is no approved site plan and no ARB approved site and building plan. I cannot approve this ARB application until there is site plan approval and ARB approval of the site and building plans. Do not begin construction of any signs until you have both ARB sign approval and an approved sign permit. Re_an the freestandinL�iM 1. The zoning permit planner will not evaluate the wall signs for compliance with the zoning ordinance until the site plan has been approved. 2. The wall signs cannot be evaluated for compliance with the ARB sign guidelines until the ARB has approved the building design. 3.
