Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is to notify you that the development proposal referenced above will be heard by the Albemarle
County Planning Commission on April 21, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lane Auditorium of the County
Office Building, 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville, VA. This petition is described as follows:
SDP200800061 Earlysville Business Park - Final
Request for site plan approval to allow the construction of an 8,000 square foot building
described as a "Machine Shop ". This application includes requests to modify Section 4.2.3.2 to
allow activity on critical slopes, Section 4.12(g) to remove the requirement for curb and gutter in
a parking area, and Section 26.10(c) to allow disturbance in a landscape buffer. The property,
described as Tax Map 31 - Parcel 21A, contains approximately 26.8 acres and is the location of
the Earlysville Business Park, and is zoned LI, Light Industry. The site, known as Earlysville
Business Park is located on the south side of Reas Ford Road approximately 1.1 miles west of the
intersection of Reas Ford Road and Earlysville Road. This parcel is located in the Rio
Magisterial District and is designated as Rural Area in the Comprehensive Plan.
The applicant or applicant's representative is requested to be present at the Planning Commission
meeting. The applicant will receive a tentative agenda and staff report approximately one (1) week prior
to the Planning Commission meeting. The tentative agenda and staff report will also be available for
review by the public during this time in the Department of Community Development during business
hours (8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon -Fri). To assure the file information is ready for your viewing and to allow
staff to be available to help with any questions, we encourage you to schedule a viewing time. Please call
296 -5832 ext 3070 during business hours to schedule an appointment. While an appointment is not
required, we do give priority to those with appointments. Those without appointments may find the
materials are in use by others and /or staff is not available to help.
