Earlysville, VA 22936 RE: Tax Map 44 Parcel 8C 1131 Reas Ford Rd., Earlysville, VA To Whom It May Concern: In response to a request for a Letter of Zoning Compliance, please be advised of the following: Section 5.1.34, Accessory Apartments was added to the Zoning Ordinance on August 10, 1994. The accessory apartment that exists in the dwelling appears to predate the current zoning regulations. There is no building permit on file for the dwelling or the accessory apartment. The real estate office has no documentation regarding the accessory apartment. During a site compliance inspection, the code enforcement officer verified that the existing accessory apartment appears to have been in existence prior to Section 5.1.34. With this information in addition to the signed statement from the owner of the dwelling, this office has determined that the accessory apartment in question is non- conforming and is allowed to continue as is.
