This letter is to notify you that the development proposal referenced above will be heard by the Albemarle
County Planning Commission on November 10, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lane Auditorium of the County
Office Building, 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville, VA. This petition. is described as follows:
SDP200800119 Treesdale Park Preliminary
Request for approval of a preliminary site plan to construct 40,850 square feet of multi- family
residential units and associated parking on 6.646 acres.. This application includes requests to
modify Section 4.2.3.2 to allow disturbance activity on critical slopes. The property, described as
Tax Map 61, Parcels 182, 183, and 183A is zoned PRD- Planned Residential District and is
located in the Rio Magisterial District on the western side of Rio Road, approximately one (1)
mile north of its intersection with Pen Park Lane. The Comprehensive Plan designates this
property as Urban Density in Urban Area 2.
The applicant or applicant's representative is requested to be present at the Planning Commission
meeting. The applicant will receive a tentative agenda and staff report approximately one (1) week prior
to the Planning Commission meeting. The tentative agenda and staff report will also be available for
review by the public during this time in the Department of Community Development during business
hours (8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon -Fri). To assure the file information is ready for your viewing and to allow
staff to be available to help with any questions, we encourage you to schedule a viewing time. Please call
296 -5832 ext 3565 during business hours to schedule an appointment. While an appointment is not
required, we do give priority to those with appointments. Those without appointments may find the
materials are in use by others and /or staff is not available to help.
