A photo- record or journal with a year's worth of data or more will also be accepted as an automatic indicator. Other indicators: (use 1 for Yes, 0 for No) 1. Flowing water? 1 2. Springs or seeps? - 3. No leaf litter in the streambed? 1 4. Drift lines or deposition of floating debris? - 5. Sediment or debris on plants? - 6. Riffle pools? - 7. Sinuosity? 1 8. A thick underbrush along the stream prevented a full evaluation investigating soils, amphibians, groundwater seeps, etc. A score of 5 or better will be a strong indicator of a perennial stream. In such cases a detailed assessment should be conducted by a qualified professional. If this is not done, the stream will be considered perennial.
