Re: .Proposed AT&T "Wireless 'Yelecommunications Facility on RWID
LLC's Property
Dear Members of the Planning Commission:
I own property on Avon Street Extended know as Snow's Garden Centex property.
AT&T has been working on a proposed "tree -top" style wireless telecommunications
facility to be located on the adjacent prolerty which I also own as RDPD LLC near, our
conm>.on boundary line. I have been in contact with representatives of .AT &,T, -who, are
working to design and :locate the proposed facility in a way that would best screen it from
Avon Street Extended and Route 20, While also providing wireless telecommunications
services to those roads and nearby businesses and, residences. I have reviewed the, dra'f't
plaits for the facility which show its location relative to my property and am comfortable
with the proposed location.
1 understand. horn AT&T',, representatives that the County staff interprets the Zoning
Ordinance to require that wireless facilities be set back Lrom adjacent property lines by a
distance at-'least. equal to the height of the pole. AT&T's plans are for a 77 -foot pole that
is set back 34.7 =reel. iron our common boundary Line. As 'L understand: from speaking
with representatives of AT&T and from inspectibr the seeing the land. area myself, the
proposed location for the pole will enable it to be located near and screened by the trees
on that side of the RDPD LLC property, as required by the Loving Ordinance.
AT &T's representatives have informed me that the Zoning Ordinance permits the
.planning Commission to .grant a waiver of the setback.requirement for the. pole. I write
to inform, the Commission that. .I do not oppose The request for the-setback waiver, nor do I
object to the proposed wireless facility, even though it is relatively close to my :property
line, because the location will enable the facility to blend in with the surrounding trees
and. reduce. its visibility `from surrounding properties and roads.
Sincerely,
Duane E. Snow
