Description:
Brown Toyota of Charlottesville is mandated by Toyota Corporation to up -date their local store image to reflect Toyota's national branding scheme. Generally, the scope of work will include the removal of the existing
stucco roof facade and signage band, which will then be replaced by aluminum composite panels. In some places the panels will extend to the ground, replacing existing storefront glass. Additionally, a translucent white
glass panel system will be located at the main showroom entrance. The proposed work will not increase the footprint of the building, nor are there any site improvements proposed.
Compatibility with Surrounding Area and Entrance Corridor:
The commercial frontage along Rt. 250 at Pantops is predominantly auto dealerships. Recently, dealerships along the Pantops corridor have renovated their buildings to present a more modern appearance. While the
proposed upgrades at the Brown Toyota will use modern materials, the existing logo signage and horizontal red stripe will remain key elements in the new design.
