HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP201000056 Legacy Document 2012-01-1744 COUNTY OF ALBEMARLE Department of Community Development 401 McIntire Road, Room 227 Charlottesville, Virginia 22902 -4596 Phone (434) 296 -5832 Fax (434) 972 -4126 October 19, 2011 Christopher Murray - JABA, Inc 674 Hillsdale Dr., Suite 9 Charlottesville, Va 22901 RE: SP201000055 Southern Albemarle Intergenerational Center (SAIC) - Day Care; SP201000056 Southern Albemarle Intergenerational Center (SAIC) - Community Center Tax Map 128, Parcel 109A Dear Mr. Murray: On October 5, 2011, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the above referenced special use permits to allow Child day care (50 children per day), adult day care (80 adults per day) and a Community center for dental clinic, day care, and community activities in a new 12,000 square building on the above referenced tax map parcel in the Scottsville district. These special use permits were approved based on the following conditions: Development of the use shall be in general accord with the Concept Plan entitled Southern Albemarle Intergenerational Center for SP2010 -55 and SP2010 -56, prepared by Meridian Planning Group, LLC, and dated December 17, 2010, (hereinafter, the "Conceptual Plan "), as determined by the Director of Planning and the Zoning Administrator. To be in general accord with the plan, development shall reflect the following central features essential to the design of the development: The size and location of the proposed building The location of the parking area Minor modifications to the plan which do not conflict with the elements above may be made to ensure compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. 2. The hours of operation for the child day care shall not begin earlier than 7:00 AM and shall end not later than 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday; 3. The hours of operation for the community center and the adult daycare shall not begin earlier than 9:00 AM and shall end not later than 9:00 PM, Monday through Saturday; 4. The hours of operation for the dental office shall not begin earlier than 8:00 AM and shall end not later than 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; 5. The maximum number of employees for the child day care, the community center, and the dental office shall not exceed a total of fifteen (15) on any given day; 6. The maximum number of people allowed the site at any given time shall not exceed one hundred (150); 7. Any outdoor lighting shall be only full cut -off fixtures and shielded to reflect light away from all abutting properties. A lighting plan limiting light levels at all property lines to no greater than 0.3 foot candles shall be submitted to the Zoning Administrator or their designee for approval; and 8. If the use, structure, or activity for which this special use permit is issued is not commenced by October 1, 2016, the permit shall be deemed abandoned and the authority granted there under shall thereupon terminate. Please be advised that although the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors took action on the project noted above, no uses on the property as approved above may lawfully begin until all applicable approvals have been received and conditions have been met. This includes: • compliance with conditions of the SPECIAL USE PERMIT; • approval of and compliance with a SITE PLAN; and -• approval of a ZONING COMPLIANCE CLEARANCE. In the event that the uses, structure or activities for which these special use permits are issued are not commenced by October 1, 2016, the special use permits shall be deemed abandoned and the permits terminated. The term "commenced" means "construction of any structure necessary to the use of the permit."
