I have therefore, examined it after receiving your print version on Tuesday, yesterday. Please incorporate this into your other document, rather than simply attaching as an addendum. I think the County has indicated that Figures 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 were not acceptable to the County in the original document,so these would need to change or be removed. The stacked stone and live soil lifts in the addendum look fine. The schedule looks fine. Please include the obvious buffer enhancements we discussed previously(on-site) in the document. These would be repair of the failed basin and pipe outfalls near the bridge, and removal and replanting of areas overgrown with vines, which was northeast of the bridge. It might help to formally establish the trail areas also, if these are to be kept. Thank you, Glenn Brooks, P.E. This unit appears to be a break from the filterras we are used to seeing, which are designed to overflow into a standard inlet. Instead, this one tries to incorporate the inlet. It is not clear how the inlet opening and overflow will be designed,as standard inlets designed for spread and capture have larger, variable width openings. They need to be sized to capture the flows expected to get into the rest of the system. The pipe system should also be our standard storm drain, minimum 15" diameter, with manhole access, which does not appear in the detail. Also, for those areas using standard filters,a typical sump setup is to have filterras on either side of the standard inlet (which is not always the most efficient if flow goes directly into the standard inlet, but with careful grading can work). It is not clear what the setup is here. Contrast drainage areas A23A and A25A, included below. One has a standard filterra, and one has FTIB-C, but they look the same on the drawing. 1 OY ALL LENGN4 FILTERRA LENGTH 1 r._....... A I I I J f F'1C r /'i g= A L CURB { .,,..,. ,..«„. This should be accounted for in the dimensions. One way to do this would be to reduce the width by approximately 1' accounting for half the chord difference between 3' and 1', the depths of the sand bed and under-drain. This results in slightly longer filter lengths. Also, is there a method or 2 • assurance whereby our inspectors caee the drainage areas broken up as you ha a indicated on plans when the building and filters are constructed? In the overall water quality computation, please include the hidden columns in your spreadsheet table. I need to see how the "load removed" and other figures are computed, to verify the correct removal percentages per facilities, and treatment train. Thank you, Glenn Brooks, P.E. I am planning to bring the sets with me for us to reference and review the comments. Hopefully that will reduce the time needed to review the submittal. Assuming all is good when we review on Thursday,we will submit after the meeting. If there are minor adjustments,we will revise and bring down the sets Friday or Monday. Thanks Glenn!
