Loyd, Business Administrator Ms. Jan Sprinkle County of Albemarle Department of Building Code & Zoning Services 401 McIntire Road Charlottesville, VA 22902 RE: Sign Emmanuel Episcopal Church Greenwood, Virginia \CA Dear Jan: Thank you for your letter of 21 September 2000. I have spoken to members of the Church, and we have decided that we will postpone our formal application to the County for the sign. Kindly void the application and make the refund payable to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Greenwood. We will contact you again when one of two things happen: (1) when the County re-writes the ordinance to allow signs within a right-of-way, or (2) when Emmanuel Episcopal Church has acquired the property from the Virginia Department of Transportation. Of course, I have no idea when either one of these instances might occur. While the Church fully realizes that we could place the sign outside of the presently recognized, yet abandoned, Route 250 right-of-way, it would not be in a position that would be visible to passerby; therefore, we feel that it would a wasted effort to install any sign at this time. I thank you and your staff for all the time and energy that you have spent with us. Sincerely yours, DALGLIESH, EICHMAN, GILPIN & PAXTON, P.C. By W.
