A permit has been issued and fees have been paid and a bond posted for this entrance upgrade and second
entrance removal. This permit has been posted and issued for this property by Blue Ridge Custom Homes. They
will be closing the second entrance at the same time they upgrade the upper entrance after construction of this
home. These conditions will be done per the permit requirements and if not the bond pulled and completed for
them if needed. I see no reason at this time why the plat would not be approved since we have now permitted
and have bond to do the work if they don't. This meets the original review requirements that I applied to this
property from my original review to clean up the access for this property. If you should have any additional
comments or concerns please let me know.

I have received correspondence from the applicant about the closing of one of two
existing entrances on Rte 637. It is my understanding that the work shall be
completed prior to subdivision plat approval. The applicant sent me an email
stating that they have posted a bond with VDOT for the work. Has this happened?
Will this suffice for approval of VDOT's conditions of approval?
Please let me know once VDOT's conditions of approval have been sufficiently

As Mr. Seale may recall,we did meet at the site, and have agreed with Mr Seale's
recommendations and requirements.
We also have obtained a permit,and posted the required Bond for the work.

Good Afternoon Gwen,
I have reviewed the plat showing the new 30' private street easement using the upper entrance off of
route 637 and closing the lower entrance utilizing one entrance for both the existing and new Lot. I have
also reviewed in the field and find that the upper existing entrance will need to be upgraded to the new
minimum VDOT entrance standards and the lower entrance driveway and pipe to be removed. I approve
use of the existing upper entrance for both parcels.This entrance also meets VDOT sight distance
requirements in both directions.A VDOT entrance permit will be required for the removal of the lower
entrance and upgrading of the upper entrance to the VDOT minimum entrance specifications. If you
should have any question or concerns please let me know.

The plats were submitted to the county today for their review.
