Once the plat is approved please record the plat and this signed/notarized maintenance agreement in the Clerk's Office. Notably, the last item left prior to County approval of the plat is the Health Department approval. I just placed a call to Travis's office phone and left a voicemail to check on the status of this approval letter...once I receive this approval we can approve the plat. Thanks Christopher P. Also,the plat cannot be approved until the County Attorney reviews and approves the private street maintenance agreement, of which the applicant has not submitted this document for review yet? The property is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Herath, not Blue Ridge Custom Homes as indicated on the paperwork from Old Dominion Onsite. I don't know that it matters on your end but I'm going to get that corrected for our file. Also,the submittal was for review of a construction permit and did not recommend subdivision approval. I'm-going to contact Mr. Herath and let him know the subdivision proposal will not be reviewed until we receive the correct paperwork. or, Travis T. (VDOT) Sent: Monday, May 04, 2015 5:20 PM To: Gwen Lacy Subject: FW: Blue Ridge Custom Homes-T.M. 73-36-St. Rt. 637 Good Afternoon Gwen, I have reviewed the plat showing the new 30' private street easement using the upper entrance off of route 637 and closing the lower entrance utilizing one entrance for both the existing and new Lot. I have also reviewed in the field and find that the upper existing entrance will need to be upgraded to the new minimum VDOT entrance standards and the lower entrance driveway and pipe to be removed. I approve use of the existing upper entrance for both parcels.This entrance also meets VDOT sight distance requirements in both directions.A VDOT entrance permit will be required for the removal of the lower entrance and upgrading of the upper entrance to the VDOT minimum entrance specifications.
