I received VDOT and Engineering approvals late last week. I also have no objections with the revisions.
Thus the plat as amended is approvable. Please submit a signed/notarized copy of the plat for approval.

below. By copy of this email, I am also including Troy Austin in the email trail. Just so everyone is on the same
page,the purpose for this easement plat is to reflect a field revision where we shifted the storm sewer pipes
on Lot 77 as shown below. The work has been completed and inspected by Dennis. Below, please find our
responses to your comments. If this suits, please let us know and we will bring up a final copy of the plat for

I've spoken to you both about this project and the email resubmittal from Mike Myers. Normally I don't
condone nor support email resubmitals/submittals but due to the nature of this plat and the fact that I heard no
grumbles from any of the reviewers, I'm letting it roll (unless I hear otherwise). All of my plating comments
have been resolved, now I am just waiting on VDOT and Engineering's sign off. Once you have a chance to
look at this let me know if you have any comments or if this plat can be approved. Thanks

2. Relocation of Storm Sewer from structure 7 (sta 17+50 Victor Place) to forebay to Bio-R
facility BF-2.
In an effort to provide a more direct pathway for road runoff to reach the bio-retention facility, the stoi
from structure 7 (sta 17+50 Victor Place) was redirected as shown below in Figure 2. This change d
have a significant effect on the functioning of the stormwater facilities. An updated storm drainage e
plat will be submitted under separate cover. The pipes as-constructed are suitable to convey the 10-
flow.

Engineering comments - Justin Bee!
1. The gabion basket wall in the biofilter will need to be installed to reflect the new location of th
drainage entrance. Once the biofilter is constructed. we will need to see an as-built ensuring the

DE RESPONSES:
1. The easement has been relabeled as "20' Public Drainage Easement".
2. Upon further review, it is unclear as to whether the line may be an old "artifact"
easement. It is the surveyor's opinion that this line should remain and to be shown as
vacated.
3. The 20' Access easement has been labeled.
4. The new easement is to be public so Engineering and VDOT will need to sign off.
Engineering Comment #1: The contractor is aware that the gabion basket wall will need to be
adjusted to reflect the new location of the drainage entrance. This will be reflected on the
SWM as-built plans.

RE: Whittington Subdivision—Phase A— Cover Letter for Storm Drainage Easement Plat
Dear Sir or Madam,
Please find enclosed for your consideration five(5) copies of the easement plat that vacates and re-dedicates
the existing storm drainage easement across Lot 77 in Whittington Subdivision— Phase A to reflect as-built
conditions. Upon review of the change, it is in the opinion of the submitting engineer that there are no significant
changes to the functioning of the stormwater facilities as approved with the Phase A WPO plans. The only
change is that the stormwater enters the bio-retention facility at a different location. This information has
already been provided to Albemarle County Engineering with the submission of the as-built plans.
