Stonefield Block D-2 will consist of 104, 20 and 22 foot wide townhomes. The Towns at Stonefield is conceived as an urban contemporary village. It will demonstrate respect for the Albemarle County region, embracing the rich history of this place. It will be warm and inviting. Its contemporary style will be demonstrated in a rich materials palette formed from locally available products. The brand of Stonefield will be integrated into the overall project design with buildings rooted in this place and surrounded with carefully planned landscape. Place making The rich architectural history of this place lies not only in the recognizable Jeffersonian influences but reside in the rustic, agrarian roots of Albemarle County as well. And although examples of acceptable buildings in the Architecture Review Board's Guidelines focus more on the formal, Federalist, Jeffersonian style, The Towns at Stonefield will be a contemporary interpretation of both.
