David,
Yes, it is acceptable to planning as I see nothing in the ordinance that would ohibit it.
I would prefer you revise the label of that item to no longer be a "pull o t"; rather, call it out as an "indention",or not
call it out as any of those two and just leave the length of 37'
Hope that helps.

Good afternoon Christopher and Justin,
Christopher,
I met with Albemarle County Department of Community Development engineering staff to go over your comment
31(attached above) regarding the 'indentation" or pull out as labeled on plan sheet C-6. Your comment as contained in
your March 24, 2015 Memorandum is attached above.
As based on the meeting engineering staff would permit the"indentation" pullout to remain provided that it was stripped
as no parking and equipped with a no parking sign per the attachment above.
Is this acceptable to planning? Please advise.
Thanks

David,
i
You could designate this area as "pavement widening"but this will generate a need for"no parking signs"to
assure that no parking takes place as it doesn't meet the requirements for parking or loading spaces. Being it's
clear the intent is to utilize it as temporary parking or some type of parking or loading area it needs to meet the
requirements of the ordinance.
I believe you need to either call it a"loading area" and meet the loading area standards defined in section 4.
Or you could utilize it as a"standard parallel parking space" and meet those requirements in section 4 to include
the size of 9' wide and 20' long
Also, please assure you address engineering's comments with regard to the spe-s, as it appears they had
comments pertaining to this area too, specifically with regard to slope. ✓ ijs-E.sse.'

Christopher,
As an alternate could we call the pullout area a"pavement widening"?
