Guardrail does not appear to be warranted. However, the applicant may submit a barrier warrant if they feel otherwise. Keep in mind that guardrail itself is a hazard and it should be used only as a last resort. It is my understanding that the landscape architect was concerned for the children playing near the road and felt that the guardrail would help protect them. If the applicant decides to install guardrail we would have no objection provided that it is placed beyond the clearzone and beyond the limits of the right-of-way. I hope this helps. Shelly A.
