Subject: RE: questions on Holiday Inn ARB submittal
Good morning Margaret,
Please see my answers to your questions below.
1. The submittal indicates that a color sample was included, but I don't see a sample in the materials I've received.
Can you describe what was submitted so I can check to see if it was mixed in with a different application? Yes, a
sample color board from Kawneer was submitted. It is the size of an 8%2" X 11" sheet of paper showing the
available colors. I will be in town next week and can drop off another sample if needed.
2. Sheet A5-9 shows down lights in the soffits. Are these existing fixtures to remain? If not, I'll need additional
information. Existing fixtures to remain, no changes.
3. Sheet A2-0 indicates that the soffit fascia will be painted. What color is proposed? It would be painted to match
the existing soffit fascia. We're working with Sherwin Williams to get a color match made. I don't know the exact
formula/color name yet, but it will match the existing.
Thank you for your comments regarding pending approval of our first floor"colonial white" storefront color selection.
We don't have a design for the upper floors yet, nor have we selected a color pallet. I have passed your comments onto
the owner and he would like to stay with the "colonial white" storefront color selection for the first floor.
Let me know if you need anything additional.
Thanks, lJ

Subject: questions on Holiday Inn ARB submittal
Kim,
I have a few questions for you on your recent Holiday Inn submittal:
1. The submittal indicates that a color sample was included, but I don't see a sample in the materials I've received.
Can you describe what was submitted so I can check to see if it was mixed in with a different application?
2. Sheet A5-9 shows down lights in the soffits. Are these existing fixtures to remain? If not, I'll need additional
information.
3. Sheet A2-0 indicates that the soffit fascia will be painted. What color is proposed?
Also, I'm a bit concerned about a brighter white to be used for the storefront, not so much at the first story, but the
intent to continue the color on the upper floors, and the extent of bright white that will be proposed on those upper
floors. I expect that the first story will have less of an impact, but I understand that you'll want consistency in the
building, and I don't want an approval at the first floor to be taken as"approval" for the floors above. I realize you aren't
ready to discuss the renovation of the upper stories yet, but is there anything you can tell me to help with this issue?
Thanks for your help.
Margaret
