I think that's another item we discussed previously which might help give you an idea of how the dedication will be processed. If the CCAC has issues, then it likely can't go on consent. If you recall, one of the bonus density provisions we are pursuing is a dedication of land to Albemarle Parks and Rec for the Crozet Trail System. You had requested that as a first step, I reach out to Bob Crickenberger to determine whether or not Parks & Rec wants the proposed dedication--I've since met with Bob and Dan Mahon and the two confirmed their endorsement of the land dedication. To ensure that I keep this process moving forward, please advise on how I should proceed from here. On the issue of how we would process that dedication...I asked David about it and he said we could attempt to process it on the consent agenda to the board (assuming Parks wants the land and agrees to the dedication), but that it could easily get pulled for public hearing because projects in Crozet in general tend to get controversial especially when the applicant is seeking increased density. It may be worth taking the project to the CCAC prior to submitting it to the County to see how it might be received. Let me know if you need anything additional. Engineering has a set aside time on every Thursday for meetings with applicants to discuss proposals which you should can use as an alternative to another pre-app time. You should plan to schedule a meeting with VDOT(Troy)to ascertain their comments, requirements for this entrance. I think it be best to discuss this issue with VDOT and the Co. Engineer at the same time. • Bonus Density--currently we are seeking a 3o%bonus density to reach the proposed 24 lots.Bonus provisions are broken down as follows: Francis has indicated he is available and between he and Ellie,they should be able to assists with these questions o 15%for dedication of approximately 5.4 acres to public use along Lickinghole Creek(planned Crozet greenway space) I am assuming that a dedication to public use is acceptable in this area,but would want some input from Parks and Rec. Department. They are not available. We will need to follow-up with them after today's meeting. o 10%for serving lots with an internal road system o 5%for providing significant landscaping in the form of street trees,etc. • Cul-de-sacs vs.temporary"T"turnarounds As of right now, I do not believe Engineering is available to attend. Pre-application meetings are generally assigned to staff in our Thursday morning planning meeting. I was assigned the meeting to discuss your proposal on TMP56-36 at that time, but because there wasn't any available information(layout, idea of proposal, questions, etc) I am the only staff member assigned. I noticed today that a proposed layout has been provided along with several questions. Now that I see what you have in mind and the questions you'd like answered, I think additional staff such as zoning, engineering and VDOT will need to attend. Unfortunately, because assignments were made on Thursday, those staff members are not available. If you'd like to get just the basic information that I can provide we can go ahead with Monday's meeting, but I don't know that I'll be able to provide comprehensive answers to your questions. If you'd like to have other staff members attend and weigh in on your proposal, I think you should contact Francis to reschedule the meeting.
