Dear Troy,
Enclosed please find two (2) sets of the revised Final Road Plans. Please note that we have revised the road
plans and site plan to address your comments dated August 11, 2015 in accordance with the following:
Site Plan/Road Plan
I. Sheet 29 of 37(SP27) has been included twice in both the site plan and road plan that has been submitted to
VDOT. SP26 is missing from both sets of plans.
RESPONSE: The omission of sheet SP27 has been corrected.
2. In general, CG-1 2s should be oriented at each crosswalk such that it does not direct a pedestrian towards
the intersection. The orientation of the following crosswalk locations remain to be looked at to see if the
CG-12s could be oriented differently:
a. Delphi Lane'Delphi Drive
b. Delphi Drive/Terrace Lane
RESPONSE: Per our meeting on August 17, 2015,the CG-12 locations at Delphi Lane/Drive are to
remain. We have adjusted the CG-12 locations at Delphi Drive/Terrace Lane as discussed.
3. Both sides of Delphi Drive between Knoll Lane and Delphi Lane should be signed as no parking so that the
sight distance for Knoll Lane is not obstructed by parked vehicles. The south side of Delphi Drive between
Knoll Lane and Delphi Lane appears to still allow on street parking which will obstruct sight distance
RESPONSE: Signs have been added to the plan and the parking table on SP16 has been revised.
4. VDOT standards allow for cul-de-sacs to have a minimum radius of 30' provided that the locality in
consultation with emergency services specifically approves the 30' radius Verification from the County
and Fire and Rescue needs to be provided concerning the cul-de-sac at the end of Marietta Drive.
RESPONSE: Prior approval from Fire and Rescue has been provided.
5. The cross slope break of Route 20 at the right turn lane should occur at the edge of the through lane The
typical section for this improvement does not currently show it this way. This is a previously unaddressed
comment.

RESPONSE: The typical section on sheet SP16A has been revised to clarify where the grade break is to
occur in accordance with the WP-2 detail.

Enclosed please find two (2) sets of the Final Road Plans that have been updated based on Engineering
comments from Michelle Roberge dated July 9, 2015. Please note that we have also submitted copies of the
Road Plan separately to VDOT and have included a copy of the comment-response letter to VDOT with this
submission. Fire and Rescue and Planning has approved the Road Plan.

There are no outstanding comments remaining.

35) Label all signs on road plan.

a) Please label stop sign at the intersection of Terrace Ln and Delphi Dr.
h) Move street sign on intersection of Terrace Lane and Delphi Lane. Same comment for Knoll Lane and Delphi
Lane.
[Revision 2] Comment not addressed. Shift street sign on Terrace Lane and Knoll Lane. Also, show all stop
sign location at Delphi Drive and Delphi Lane intersection. (It is not clear when you compare the blocks 4-7
road plan with this plan.) Revise the street sign location in this location as well.
RESPONSE: Proposed stop signs have been added and labeled as "4-Way Stop." The street sign
has been relocated as requested.
New comments:
42)Provide approval from all other county agencies.
RESPONSE: Acknowledged.
43)The title should clearly state "Road Plan and "Site Plan"as they will be filed separately.
RESPONSE: As discussed,the Site Plan sheets have been labeled "Site Layout"and the title on
the right hand margin of the page has been changed to "Road Plan".
