Hi Chris, and thanks for getting back to us so promptly. As for the Groundwater Study fee, can I pay that when
I bring the signed plats, or would it be best to come pay it ahead of time?
Section 14-308.1 says it shall be satisfied prior to approval. Thus t ler II study shall be completed prior to
approval. Please pay now and let me get the study going. tl
Sec.14-308.1 Groundwater assessment information.
Groundwater assessments required by section 17-402 shall be initiated by the program authority upon the submittal of the preliminary plat. The draft groundwater management plans and
acquifer testing workplans required by sections 17-403 and 17-404,as applicable,shall be submitted in conjunction with the submittal of the preliminary plat.The requirements of sections 17-
402, 17-403 and 17-404 shall be satisfied prior to final plat approval.
I plan on notarizing the signatures on the plat myself, at which time I will use my notary stamp that has my
number on it, so I assume that will suffice unless you tell me differently. That will work, the plat previously
submitted did not have a notary stamp or anything number.
If I'm not mistaken, and as long as my notary stamp will suffice as described above, it sounds like we could go
ahead and have the final plats printed and ready to be signed. Yes, all platting items are complete.
Of course, I will wait to get with the Birckheads until I hear from you whether or not the county attorney has
approved the affidavit that was submitted. Yes, I'd advise at be if the CA has changes to the document they
will need to be made and then resigned. 4-(5

The soil work has been redistributed to the Health Department and they are going to push this along quickly, I'll
let you know when I receive their approval. Before you get the owners to sign the plat (if they already signed,
sorry but I have one additional note required to the plat) please add the following note in red. I noticed I missed
it after I sent the Health Department the latest plat and didn't see it. It should be a quick fix. I do not need to re-
review the plat just assure it's on the signature copies for approval, I need that on there b4 I can approve it.
[14-212(D)] Family subdivisions; conditions of approval. Provide the following note on the plat: "No lot shown
on this family subdivision plat may be sold or conveyed to a person other than an eligible `member of the
immediate family', as that term is defined in Chapter 14 of the Albemarle County Code,for a period of four (4)
years from the date of recordation of this plat except as authorized by Section 14-212(A) of the Albemarle County
Code. If any lot created by the recordation of this plat is conveyed back to the grantor during the four (4)year
period, it shall be recombined with the parent lot within six (6) months after such conveyance. "

I just left a voicemail, I'll send this email to have a paper trail of the discussion for the file. I am checking on the status of
the above referenced project and it's soil work/HD review. The applicant called Teresa yesterday to check on the status of
the HD review and she said that no soil work was received for this project. I had sent out the required copies of the soil
work and the plat to your office on October 5 for review(see attached word doe copy of the letter).Can you please check on this item for
me and give me an update. Was the soil work ever received?If so, who is the reviewer and what is the status of their
review.
