VSMP Permit Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Greene,
We have reviewed the comments dated July 15, 2015 from the city and have amended the plans for this site.
A. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
1. A SWPPP is required for all commercial grading projects over 10,000 sf of disturbance:
The Albemarle County SWPPP was filled out to meet this requirement and has been added to the current
submission.
B. Pollution Prevention Plan
1. The PPP was filled out as part of the SWPPP.
C. Stormwater Management Plan
1. Please submit"tab A"and the "summary tab"from the VRRM spread sheet: These have been added to the
SWMP
2. Detailed"to scale"plan is required for SWM structure:A to scale drawing of the detention pond has been
added to the SWMP.
D. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan
1. Aerial photography appears to show a parking lot and possible wall. Please show and label all existing
structures and impervious areas on this project: The aerials were reviewed and the plan has been updated
to show these offsite areas.
2. Paved construction entrance detail is required for plan approval: The stone CE detail was replaced with a
paved CE detail.
3. Plan appears to show partial information for both a sediment trap and a basin with riser: The sediment trap
will be converted to a basin with riser after construction, this has been cleared up and detailed on the
current submission.
4. The CIP's with a drainage area of 1-3 acres are to be designed as sediment traps: The Inlet Protections
outside of the area of disturbance were erroneously added in the first plan, these have since been removed
because no sediment will enter these IP's due to site topography.
5. Cleanwater diversions need to be stabilized to prevent erosion: This diversion was stabilized with a VDOT
standard LD-268 diversion culvert with EC-2 matting. This clarifying description has been added to the E&S
narrative.
Attached with this letter are 2 sets of the VSMP permit package with the application dated 7/21/15 that shows these
changes.

VSMP Permit Plan Review Comments
Dear Mr. Greene,
We have reviewed the comments revised on September 30, 2015 from the county and have amended the plans for
this site.
A. Pollution Prevention Plan
1. PPP:A plan sheet showing the locations is required by the State. A 11"x17" plan showing this has been
0 included for the PPP.
B. Stormwater Management Plan

til 1. Project requires phosphorous removal of 0.23 lb,/pr proposed as nutrient credit purchase Please submit
' /
j ^ documentation fur the nutrient credit purchase in accordance with State criteria, 4iia Kilmer
`\ L (management Analyst) may he able to help address the requirements to prove purchase meets the State
yl requirements. Documentation will be attached with this submittal.
C. Erosion and Sediment Control Plan
1. Plan appears to show partial information for both a sediment trap and a basin with riser: This comment
appears adequately addressed at this time, however the conversion to permanent structure will not be
allowed until the site is completely stabilized due to the proposed evisceration of the structure for
conversion. It ii'ould be better to install the riser and outfall barrel as a basin with the initial construction
of the dam. To avoid clogging the riser with sediment . d causing and a maintenance issues, the riser and
outfall barrel will be installed after site stabilization. ® I Pik e
2. Cleanwater diversions need to be stabilized to prevent erosion:Please show the liner on the detail to
yL match the description in "Sediment Control"note #3 on page C'2 of 4. The liner was added and labelled
on the appropriate detail.
