Crozet Library
Building — Site Plan Phase II
Description:
This is the second phase of site development for the Crozet Library. This phase will provide a
two -story building of approximately 23,000 SF, primarily for use as a public library, and will
finish the parking lot developed as Phase I of site development, along with site lighting and
landscaping.
The proposed development is compatible with the surrounding area as it is currently developed,
as well as with the expected development in accordance with the Downtown Crozet
Development Plan. Current development in the immediately surrounding area is a mix of
business, residential, community (church), and industrial (lumber yard) uses, with a new street
and alley connection to The Square and Crozet Avenue. The library is intended as one of the
public investments in working towards more of a commercial character for Downtown Crozet,
and is specifically identified in the Crozet Master Plan.
