No, we were never able to do anything. We couldn't find a location that could get approved. Too close to property lines
or existing building, etc. The only place we found that would work has big non-active cooling machines and no
departments want to pay for their removal. Not sure what kind of submittal there was, it was never a. formal project with
any kind of real design. This project is DOA.

Ron,
This LOR application has been reviewed and have the following comments:
1. The subject parcel is zoned Commercial Office which requires a 50' setback, for all structures, from any adjacent
residential or rural areas district. TMP 07600-00-00-05450 to the south of the proposed shed location is zoned
R2. It is difficult to tell if your proposed structure violates this setback because one exhibit provided shows the
proposed shed location while the other shows the required setbacks. It does appear to violate the setback, but
can't tell with absolute certainty. Please provide an exhibit that shows both the setbacks and the proposed
structure. If the proposed shed location is less than 50' from any residential property line, a revised location
minimum of 50' from any residential area will be necessary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or need further clarification.

Site Plan Letter of Revision
County Police Motorcycle Shed at COB 5"' St

The County Police Department needs a shed to house their motorcycle fleet at their 5t' Street
headquarters. The proposed shed would be 20'x30'x9' and would be located within the secure
police parking court, as depicted in the attached portion of the COB 5t` St. site plan.
In addition to the building itself, placed in 2 existing parking spaces, changes to the interior
perimeter fence are proposed. The existing interior perimeter fence was inherited when the
County acquired the facility and was kept as a way of allowing authorized personnel to bypass
the motor court area when entering the facility at the rear entrance and also for emergency
exiting pathway, but it is not necessary to provide that bypass. This has been confirmed by the
Building Code Official.
The revised plan would eliminate the interior perimeter fence, except around the above -ground
diesel tank and bollards, thus allowing the shed to be placed close to the exterior fence.
Additionally, two spaces (labeled 36 and 37) would be made considerably deeper and could
accommodate two longer specialty vehicles the police presently park in 4 regular spaces. Thus,
while the shed would take up two existing spaces, the ability to use 2 deeper spaces for specialty
vehicles will result in no net loss of parking spaces.
The shed will be provided electricity for lighting, heating, and motorcycle charging.
The she would be well -screened from view from Stagecoach Road by existing landscaping and
slatted chain-link fence.
As best as can be found, the current site plan is the Minor Site Plan (Amendment of Jefferson
National Bank original site plan) by Wachovia Bank (SDP1997-135). It appears there was not a
site plan amendment done when the County renovated for County offices. One prior letter of
revision was provided for police dog kennels within the mechanical yard of the police court, but
those never ended up being placed.
