This letter is to notify you that the development proposal referenced above will be heard by the Albemarle
County Planning Commission on April 5, 2011, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lane Auditorium of the County Office
Building, 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville, VA. This petition is described as follows:
SDP201100006 Walton Middle School AT &T CV435 Tier H
PROPOSED: An AT &T treetop Personal Wireless Service Facility comprising of an eighty seven
(87) foot tall monopole and associated ground equipment.
ZONING CATEGORY /GENERAL USAGE: RA, Rural Areas -; agricultural, forestal, and fishery
uses; residential density (0.5 unit /acre in development lots)
SECTION: 10.2.1 (22) which allows for Tier II personal wireless facilities by right in the RA
Zoning District
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN LAND USE/DENSITY: Rural Area in Rural Area 4 - Preserve and
protect agricultural, forestal, open space, and natural, historic and scenic resources/ density (.5
unit/acre in development lots)
ENTRANCE CORRIDOR: YES
FLOOD HAZARD OVERLAY: YES
LOCATION: 4217 Red Hill Road [State Route 708] at the intersection of Red Hill Road and
Scottsville Road [State Route 20].
TAX MAP/PARCEL: 10 1 000-00-00-056AO

The applicant or applicant's representative is requested to be present at the Planning Commission
meeting. The applicant will receive a tentative agenda and staff report approximately one (1) week prior
to the Planning Commission meeting. The tentative agenda and staff report will also be available for
review by the public during this time in the Department of Community Development during business
hours (8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon -Fri). To assure the file information is ready for your viewing and to allow
staff to be available to help with any questions, we encourage you to schedule a viewing time. Please call
