Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter is to notify you that the development proposal referenced above will be heard by the Albemarle
County Planning Commission on April 20, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. in the Lane Auditorium of the County
Office Building, 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville, VA. This petition is described as follows:
SDP201000014 Silo Replacement — Wilson Ready Mix
Request in accordance with Chapter 18 Section 4.10.3.1 for approval of a modification to allow a
silo structure to be located no closer in distance to the lot line than the height of the structure. The
proposed silo is approximate 76 feet in height and is located 34 feet from the property line. The
property, described as Tax Map 32, Parcel 22C is 2.0 acres and is located in the Rio Magisterial
District on the west side of Seminole Trail [SR 29], approximately 450 feet north of its
intersection with Northside Drive. The property is zoned Heavy Industrial (HI), Entrance
Corridor (EC), and Airport Impact Area (AIA). The Comprehensive Plan designates this property
as Industrial Service in the Hollymead Community.
The applicant or applicant's representative is requested to be present at the Planning Commission
meeting. The applicant will receive a tentative agenda and staff report approximately one (1) week prior
to the Planning Commission meeting. The tentative agenda and staff report will also be available for
review by the public during this time in the Department of Community Development during business
hours (8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Mon -Fri). To assure the file information is ready for your viewing and to allow
staff to be available to help with any questions, we encourage you to schedule a viewing time. Please call
296 -5832 ext 3004 during business hours to schedule an appointment. While an appointment is not
required, we do give priority to those with appointments. Those without appointments may find the
materials are in use by others and /or staff is not available to help.
