Ms. Maybury,
Please accept this email as Notice of ESCP Approval, Project File Number WP0201600010/Doyles River Crossing.
This ESCP Application supplements Floodplain Development Application - FDP201500008/Doyles River Crossing.
Plan: Erosion and Sediment Control Plan / (document) includes 8.5" x 11" schematic to guide inspection/construction.
Plan (Document)/Title:
Doyles River Crossing, 4877 Browns Gap Turnpike, Crozet, VA 22932
Prepared by K. Maybury, 1318 N. Wakefield St., Arlington, VA 22207
February 14, 2016 Revision; Previous Version: November 9, 2015
As noted in email sent 15 -Feb (below), Albemarle County will hold Floodplain Development Permit (FDP201500008)
Approval until Joint Permit is issued.
An ESC bond is not required. If calculated, bond Amt. = $6851(0.5 x disturbed Area* x $5,000/Ac.-stabilization + 65
LF silt fence x $5/ LF).
This is less than equivalent project (Amts.) neither calculated nor required of single-family home construction typical
throughout the county.
Project is a single-family access/driveway/culvert river crossing. It is not part of a subdivision, or larger plan of
development.
This project will not receive a VDEQ CGP but will receive a Multi -Agency Joint Permit authorizing work in waters of the
U.S.
Project Certification Statement signed by Kathleen Maybury, dated 14 -Feb 2016, is sufficient to guide/inform compliance.
We appreciate your help and patience. Closer to the time of FDP Approval, please contact Todd Shifflett to arrange a pre -
construction meeting.
Digs, Inc/Charlottesville is slated to construct the crossing. Pre -construction Mtg. will be familiar to Digs —Todd's TEL:
434.296-5832 —x3072.
This project represents significant activity within the 100 -yr floodplain of Doyles River, and as such will be inspected.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks, again, for your help and patience.
Please retain this correspondence as OFFICIAL Notice of Erosion and Sediment Control Plan Approval.
* 6,265 SF (±) ; Note: to process this bond Amt. requires county expense exceeding value of bond

Kat,
This is excellent.
ESC Plan revised/comments:
Minor edits:
1. Seq. 3: "Restore the floodplain of the Doyles to its original condition on the east side by..." should this
read west side?
2. Seq. 6: "Once half the bridge is constructed, move the sandbags to divert the flow through the installed set
of 4 pairs of culverts" —should this read 5 culverts?
Plan ESC Locations 1/file— Concise, clear, thank you
Certification Statement —thank you
With minor edits, this ESCP will be approved.
Please sign certification —we need 2 copies of this plan w/Application +$150 fee.
We must hold Floodplain Development Permit (FDP201500008) Approval until Joint permit is issued.
Thank you
