RE: ARB -2016-17: Seminole North Sign
Dear Doug,
I have reviewed the above -noted sign application. The following revisions are requested to make the proposal
consistent with Entrance Corridor Sign Guidelines.
1. Revise Sheet 2 by labeling the photo -renderings as proposed or existing.
2. Revise Sheet 2 by indicating the closest Pantone number equivalent for each proposed color.
3. This proposal is for a multi -tenant panel sign. ARB sign guidelines encourage color coordination between
tenant panels and limiting the total number of sign colors. Revise the drawing to include the following note
limiting tenant panel colors:
"The following criteria shall apply to all tenant panels on this sign structure: "
• `All tenant panel background colors shall be white. "
• "Permitted tenant panel text or graphic colors include Green PMS #, Brown PMS #, Blue PMS #,
Blue PMS # and Red PMS #. "
Please note: The ARB has determined that Red Pantone #485 is an inappropriate shade of red for signs in
the Entrance Corridor. Red Pantone #187 is considered an appropriate substitute for #485.
4. You have indicated verbally that the existing sign is externally illuminated and shall remain that way.
Revise the sign drawing to indicate the location and type of illumination and that it shall remain.
Please respond by email within 15 days of the date of this letter indicating whether you will or will not proceed with
these revisions. Your decision to make the revisions will suspend the 60 -day review period associated with your
original submittal. If you choose to complete the revisions, please email the revised drawings to me. If you choose
not to proceed with these revisions, staff will be unable to approve your application. Failure to respond to this letter
shall be presumed to be a request to proceed to action on the application without further revisions.
If you have any questions about this action, please contact me as soon as possible. I look forward to receiving your
revisions and completing this review with an approval letter.
Sincerely,
Brent Nelson
