This letter is to notify you that the following development proposal has been submitted to the County
for review:

PROPOSED: Request for preliminary site plan approval to construct a 12,446 sq. ft.
shopping center and associated parking. ZONING CATEGORY /GENERAL USAGE:
Highway Commercial (HC) SECTION: Chapter 18 Section 32 of the Zoning Ordinance

This development proposal is scheduled for the Site Review Committee meeting on the date
listed below. The applicant's attendance is not mandatory, although it may be requested by the
County. Regardless of whether the applicant will be attending, the County staff will be available
for consultation on the Site Review Committee meeting date at 10:00 a.m., in Room 235 of the
County Office Building on McIntire Road in Charlottesville. This meeting will be an informal
session with the Site Review Committee to discuss issues and share information.
The development proposal will be reviewed and approved, subject to compliance with applicable
ordinances, by the Site Review Committee, unless a written request is made for Planning
Commission review by a member of the Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, or an
abutting property owner by the Request for Review deadline. If requested for review, the
development proposal will be reviewed by the Planning Commission. All applicable dates
scheduled for this development proposal are listed below.

Plans for the proposed development are available for your review in the Department of Community
Development. To assure the file information is ready for your viewing and to allow staff to be
available to help with any questions, we encourage you to schedule a viewing time. Please call 296-
5832 ext 3565 during business hours (8 a.m. -5 p.m., Mon -Fri) to schedule an appointment. While
an appointment is nofi"quired, we do give priority to those vAK appointments. Those without
appointments may find the materials are in use by others and /or staff is not available to help.
Should you wish to attend the Site Review Committee meeting, please notify the Department of
Community Development so that any concerns may be adequately addressed.
