Faced with that and the great expense of asking for a variance, I've officially thrown in the towel on my farming efforts. The animals have been sold and the the goat building is for sale, with several pending interested parties. I don't want you to waste your time measuring again and going through the variance process as I had hoped. I would just like someone to actually go out to the farm and specifically tell me what remains to be done to be in compliance. I have taken down the four or the five buildings I knew were in violation on the schedule previously outlined, and now that I have sold the farm animals, I will be taking down the goat shelter in the next week or two. I'm still unaware of what the other three buildings mentioned in the law suit refer to, as there are no more unpermited buildings on the property. There are some piles of materials still, and that, of course, is taking time to disperse and clean up, but it is all up for sale and slowly moving along. It is now very likely that I won't be able to make it to Charlottesville in April due to my work and my family situation, but will be there for several weeks in May, so I may have to request the court date be moved until then, unless of course, we can settle the matter before then. That would be my preference.
