Dear Dale,
The Albemarle County Architectural Review Board reviewed the above noted item at its meeting on Monday,
August 20, 2007. The Board unanimously approved the request by a vote of 5:0, pending staff administrative
approval of the following conditions:
1. Provide a revised plan that clearly shows the existing topographic lines and elevations.
2. Revise note #2 under "Monopole Details" on Sheet A -02A by replacing the "or" with "and ".
3. Provide a larger set of plans for review.
4. Revise the "one antenna per sector tower mounting" detail on Sheet A -03 to clarify the 12.1" antenna
width and the 12.0" maximum distance between face of pole and face of antenna.
5. Draw the pole to scale.
6. Provide topography on the "Overall Topographic Survey" Sheet 1 of 2.
7. Indicate the proposed paint color on the plan and provide a sample for review. Revise all paint color notes
to identify the specific paint color.
8. Indicate why the four trees located east of the proposed pole must be removed, or revise the plan to
indicate that they will remain, and provide appropriate tree protection.
Please provide:
1. Two full sets of revised drawings addressing each of these conditions. Include updated ARB revision
dates on each drawing.
2. A memo including detailed responses indicating how each condition has been satisfied. If changes
other than those requested have been made, identify those changes in the memo also. Highlighting the
changes in the drawing with "clouding" or by other means will facilitate review and approval.
3. The attached "Revised Application Submittal" form. This form must be returned with your revisions to
ensure proper tracking and distribution.
When staffs review of this information indicates that all conditions of approval have been met, a Certificate of
Appropriateness may be issued.

I have reviewed your recent submittal for the above - referenced proposal with revisions dated 1/3/08. The
revisions made in this set of drawings meet the outstanding conditions of ARB approval. You may consider this
letter your Certificate of Appropriateness.
This approval is predicated on the fact that the design and materials, as proposed and exhibited for review, will
be used. The acceptance of approval implies that the applicant has agreed to execute the design as indicated on
the site plan, attachments, materials, samples, and other submittal items presented. Any change in the approved
design or materials will require an amendment to the plan and must be reviewed and approved by the
Architectural Review Board.
