Subject: Tip Top Restaurant Minor Amendment (SDP200800027)
Before Engineering can recommend approval to the minor amendment, the following comments must be
addressed:
1. Please provide the date of the topographic information.
2. All proposed slopes steeper than 3:1 must have low maintenance (not grass) ground cover
specified on the plans.
3. The plans show existing critical slopes to be disturbed. Please provide a critical slopes waiver
request, or remove all disturbances outside of critical slopes. SWM /ESC facilities may be exempt
if no reasonable alternative location is available.
4. Please provide a SWM and ESC application, amendment, and applicable fees. The WPO plans
will have to be approved and bonded prior to approval of the minor amendment.
5. The proposed biofilter location is located within an existing easement. Biofilters require adequate
forebays.
6. Please provide drainage profiles and cross sections for the proposed channel. Specify any channel
linings.
7. Please specify inlet- shaping on all inlets.
8. The proposed layout of the connection of the channel /pipe outlet is awkward. Please propose a
design and accompanying calculations that will ensure adequate drainage to the trap /biofilter.
9. Scour protection should be shown at all outlets, corresponding to computations.
10. Please provide adequate drainage computations.

Reviews Comments: The following revisions should be made to the plan:
1. Under Site Specific Notes on Sheet 1: Revise note #1 to include the patio as part of the
amendment, and to make the note accurate.
2. Under Site Specific Notes on Sheet 1: Revise note #8 to make it accurate regarding existing
landscaping or delete it.
3. On Sheet 3, the shrub planting schedule lists 16 Abelia, but there appear to be only 11 on the plan.
Coordinate the plan and the schedule.
4. Regarding the plants around the patio, add a note to the plan to clarify the planting condition. Is this
a raised planter? If so, provide details.
