The most recent approved minor site plan amendment project number is SDP - 2009 - 00081. There are two minor modifications included as part of this letter of revision. The first is in regards to two trees shown on the Existing Conditions and Demolition plan. One tree that was previously shown to be saved previously will now need to be removed. Another tree that was previously shown as existing does not actually exist on site, as was verified by a field visit. A revision cloud has been provided around these two trees on the Existing Condition and Demolition plan sheet and is included with this submittal. A second change is in regards to updating the site plan in order to match the architectural drawings. The roof plan was added and the stairs leading to the building were reduced in width to match the updated architectural drawings. Also, the stairs to the north of the building have been moved slightly closer to the building, the HVAC unit configuration has been modified slightly, and the stairs leading to the back porch of the north building eliminated, again to reflect the architecture drawings. The building location and footprint have remained the same. A revision cloud has been included on the Grading and Utilities sheet and is included with this submittal. The specific revisions have also been noted on the sheet itself. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. The cistern will collect as much of the roof runoff from the building and attached pavilion as possible, thus reducing the amount of storm water that will need to be treated. A cistern was proposed in the originally approved site plan in a slightly different location due to a different roof configuration, and then removed for budget reasons. It has been reintroduced in a location that will be able to collect a much larger portion of the roof. We are hoping to collect all but two downspouts. As a result of the change in location we are proposing to move the bio- filter to collect any overflow from the cistern. The location of the cistern and the bio - filter are shown on the attached drawing, from the approved site plan. The bio- filter, originally sized for a much larger roof area, has not been reduced in size in proportion to the reduction in roof area of the current building, but will maintain its original approved volume. In addition we would like to request to relocate a Black Gum tree labeled NS that is located in the concrete area in front of the main steps to the area between the concrete handicapped ramp and the sidewalk. We would like to reserve the planting circle in the walk for a nicer focal point. Please see the attached Application for Letter of Revision, check for the application fee and exhibit. The original approved plan did not have any paving along the right side of the road. During the last site plan amendment, the permeable paving was added due to a pending donation. The donation has not materialized and unfortunately the school does not have the funding to install it. The storm water calculations were done with out the permeable paving and with a larger school footprint.
