SDP - 2008 - 00178 Ntelos CV842 -West Ivy (Dickerson) -Final (Elizabeth Marrota) Sight lines need to be shown at the existing modified entrance. A Land Use Permit will be required for any proposed work within the Prescriptive Easement on Dry Bridge Road for the widening of the entrance. Although the existing Dry Bridge Road is a 30 foot prescriptive easement and the proposed bollard is outside of the easement, it should be placed at a minimum of 10 feet outside of the existing edge of the road to maintain a clear zone for the road. Please request the applicants provide a written description of revisions with re- submissions. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me prior to sharing these comments with the applicants. They are: 02 -198: a house located on the west side of Route 708, constructed ca. 1890 in no discernable style. 02 -1 198: the Terry School, an African American school possibly built from timbers of the former Burnley School, remodeled and covered with modern siding. Neither of these properties has been evaluated for eligibility for listing on the state or national registers. Neither property appears to retain its architectural integrity. There do not appear to be any significant landscapes or views associated with these resources. The proposed telecom nunications facility is not expected to have any direct impact on these resources. The proposal is not expected to cause physical damage, alteration or destruction of the resources. Furthermore, the proposed facility is not expected to have any significant negative impact on the setting or character of these resources.
