ntended use or justification request:
The attached sheets for this Major Amendrir nt reflect the following modifications to the apipip * J Final Site Development Plan:
1. As a part of the ARB review of the project, it was requested that we remove an existing tree at the current entrance to
the parcel since it had already been compromised by conflicts /pruning associated with the power lines above. The new
tree had been added and the existing removed, but the Tree Protection Fence was left on in some of the Civil and Landscape
plans. These notations have been removed to complete the coordination of the request by ARB to remove the tree.
2. A post indicator valve and the associate 4" waterline supplying fire suppression to Building A have been removed. It was
chosen not to install a wet -pipe sprinkler system in Building A. As a result the 4" supply -line and associated post indicator valve
assembly were removed from the plans since they were no longer necessary.
3 The gas line supply to Building A has been modified to reduce the length of piping and simplify the routing. The gas supply for
Building A previously stemmed from a trunk line along the east drive. That line has been eliminated and the gas is now being
routed directly from Avon Street Extended and across the north face, using the same entry point to the building as was
previously shown.
4. The geothermal wells previously shown as an array of (21) wells in the employee parking lot has been modified to a Standing
Column Well system using only (2) wells. The well heads will be visible and it was requested they be shown on the plans. We
have added their locations to sheet S -9 Site Utility Plan.
5. The site has been broken into two phases as result of the owners wish to be able achieve occupancy in the Administrative
building (building A) ahead of the Maintenance buildings (Buildings B, C & D). The two phases are referenced on the drawings
as 'Phase-1A: CTS Administration' and 'Phase -1B: CTS Maintenance'. (As context, they are 1A and 1B because the CTS site
is Phase 1 of the larger approved PSDP for the City of Charlottesville Avon Street Public Works Operations Facility, SDP06 -131.

or Section 32.4.3.3 as the case may be.
