Subject: SUB201600088 Nathaniel Howell & Margie S. Howell — BLA/Vacation plat
The County of Albemarle Planning Division will grant or recommend approval of the Subdivision Plat
referenced above once the following comments have been addressed: [Each comment is preceded by the
applicable reference, which is to the Subdivision/Zoning Ordinances unless otherwise specified.]
[14-106] Definitions. Red Hills Lane and Fairview Lane are not private roads as defined by the
ordinance; rather, they are merely easements for right-of-way. Revise the plat to correctly label these
easements.
2. [14-302(B)10] Stream buffers. There are stream buffers present on the property, please provide the
required note: "The stream buffer(s) shown hereon shall be managed in accordance with the Albemarle
County Water Protection Ordinance. "
3. [Comment] There is a typographical error with regard to the TMP of an adjacent property, Lot 11,
listed on the plat as 46-93ML The correct TMP is 46-93M2. Revise the plat to correct the error.
4. [14-302(B)(1)] General information. Provide the date of the last revision.
Staff has provided references to the County Code. The Code is kept up-to-date by the County Attorney's office
and may be found at www.albemarle.org/countycode. In accord with the provisions of Section 14-229(B) of
Chapter 14, if the applicant fails to submit a revised plat to address all of the requirements within six (6) months
after the date of this letter, then the application shall be deemed voluntarily withdrawn. Please contact
