The project will include approximately 790 linear feet of stream channel starting at the southern edge of the existing pond located below the tee complex on Hole No. 4, running the length of the hole past the green complex to the existing stream crossing at the tee complex on Hole No. 5 as well as the return of 120 linear feet of intermittent stream channel to the left of the green complex. Rehabilitation of the stream channel will involve minor modifications of the banks, where necessary, at a maximum slope of 3:1 to eliminate areas of the stream banks that are currently eroded and minimize future erosion from storm events. Minor adjustment to the edges of the channel will be incorporated to facilitate modifications to the banks and improve the aesthetics of the stream. Minor grading will be done in areas adjacent to the stream where golf car path has been removed to return the areas to existing grades consistent with surrounding topography and improve the aesthetics of the golf hole. The removal of sub- surface drain line and return of intermittent stream channel to the left of the green complex will improve surface drainage in the surrounding area and improve the strategy of the golf hole. Large rocks will be placed at 5 to 6 locations in the stream channel to create small pools and cascades in the stream channel to improve visibility of the water and the aesthetics of the golf hole. The rocks in each location will be placed to allow the addition of small, low timber crossing, if necessary to provide access to the east side of the stream. Other rocks will be placed at locations along the channel edges that may be susceptible to future erosion. As part of the project, 960 linear feet of existing asphalt golf car path will be removed from the east side of the stream, as well as 1 concrete pipe stream crossing north of the green complex, to improve the aesthetics of the golf hole and improve the condition of the stream channel. To provide access for golf cars and people walking the golf course, 490 linear feet of asphalt path will be added to the west side of the golf hole in sections at the tee and green complexes. As a part of this path, the small existing timber bridge crossing the outflow of the pond at the tee complex will be upgraded.
