You have probably seen the emails that I exchanged with Ms. Courchaine in reference to the signature panel for Louisa. I'm sorry I did not catch that in my review. I contacted the applicant (Kirk Hughes) to ask him to resubmit with the added signature panel. He does not think it is necessary, despite my sharing both over the phone and then forwarding him the emails (below) about the need for the added signature panel. He says that he left the panel off on purpose because Louisa has always used a stamp in the past. I mentioned that it seems the policy has changed since the last time he had a plat signed by Louisa. He however wishes to submit the plats to you as is (see attached). I have let him know that if he is wrong, and Louisa will not sign them without the added signature panel, to resubmit an updated plat with a Louisa signature panel to me and we will sign them again. I just wanted to update you on this since it goes against what Ms. Courchaine kindly took the time to research for us while you were gone. However, I noticed yesterday that we had not had the applicant include a separate signature block for Louisa. If Ms. Buckler has a stamp for that purpose, and if there is enough room on the coversheet (see attached) to place the stamp, then I just need to mail the plats to your office for Ms. Buckler to sign once she is back. However, if this is an issue I need to go back to the applicant and have them add the signature block for Louisa County's use before mailing the plats to your office.
